Summary
Play a pivotal role in leading field investigations, performing specialized inspections, overseeing materials testing, and managing project execution. This position also requires delivering clear, accurate, and timely reports while ensuring high standards of quality and professionalism throughout all phases of the project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects involving construction special inspections and materials testing, ensuring efficient execution and coordination.
- Perform specialized inspections and materials testing as required to support project needs.
- Prepare and review clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports.
- Supervise, mentor, and support project team members to drive performance and collaboration.
- Oversee quality assurance efforts to ensure field and laboratory work meets all technical standards and applicable codes.
- Maintain professional certifications through ongoing training and continuing education.
- HS Diploma required.
- Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary.
- Must possess at least one International Code Council (ICC) Certification for one of the following Special Inspector Categories: reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, spray applied fireproofing, steel & bolt or steel & weld, or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade 1, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate through a State Board.
- Functional knowledge of industry practices an regulations, NYS Building Code, and engineering standards.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, teammates, and clients, through clear communications and proactive progress reporting.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Compensation: $25 - 32 / hour
